About Aries Spears

Aries Spears is one of the most versatile and technically gifted comedians working today. He rose to national prominence as a long-running cast member on MADtv, where his uncanny celebrity impressions — from Shaquille O'Neal to Jay-Z to Arnold Schwarzenegger — made him a household name among comedy fans. His ability to transform his voice, physicality, and comedic rhythm to match virtually any public figure is a skill set that remains unmatched in the stand-up world.

Beyond impressions, Spears is a storyteller with real edge. His stand-up specials and club performances showcase a comedian who isn't afraid to go where others won't — tackling pop culture, relationships, race, and the absurdities of modern life with a precision and confidence that comes from decades on stage. He has performed on The Tonight Show, Def Comedy Jam, and headlined major comedy festivals across the country.

Spears has built a devoted following among comedy audiences who crave authenticity over safe punchlines. His Atlanta performance is a direct-to-fan experience — no safety net, no filter, just a world-class comedian doing what he does best in front of a live crowd. If you've been looking for a reason to get out to a live show in 2027, this is it.

The Tabernacle Experience

Tabernacle is Atlanta's premier mid-sized live entertainment venue, and it earns that reputation every single night. Located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta near Centennial Olympic Park and the Mercedes-Benz Stadium corridor, the venue occupies a converted 1910 Baptist church — and that architectural heritage makes it unlike any other concert hall in the city. The soaring vaulted ceilings, warm wood tones, and intimate sightlines create an atmosphere that feels both grand and personal at the same time.

With a capacity of approximately 2,600, Tabernacle sits in a sweet spot between an intimate club and a full-scale arena. Every seat — and every standing position on the floor — puts you close to the action. For a stand-up comedy performance, that proximity is everything. You aren't watching Aries Spears on a screen; you're in the room with him, and that changes the entire experience.

The venue is fully accessible and staffed by a professional crew that Atlanta entertainment-goers have come to trust. The bar program is strong, the sound system is exceptional, and the neighborhood around Tabernacle offers plenty of dining and parking options before or after the show. Street parking and nearby paid lots are available, and the venue sits within easy reach of multiple Downtown Atlanta transit corridors.
