About Legends Of Laughter: Crawford vs. Givens
Legends Of Laughter is exactly what the name promises — a collision of generational comedy talent on a single stage. The April 9 Atlanta edition puts Lavell Crawford opposite Adele Givens in a format that celebrates the craft, the history, and the raw power of Black American stand-up comedy. This is not a supporting act situation. These are two headliners, two legends, sharing a marquee with something to prove to every seat in the house.
Lavell Crawford built his national profile as one of the funniest men in the game — a St. Louis native who turned his larger-than-life personality into a touring phenomenon. Known for his fearless self-deprecating humor, his sharp observational bits, and his undeniable stage presence, Crawford is a crowd-favorite everywhere he goes. Atlanta audiences have seen him before, and they know what he delivers: relentless energy and genuine belly laughs from start to finish.
Adele Givens is a Chicago comedy institution and one of the most respected women ever to step behind a microphone in this genre. Her appearances on Def Comedy Jam are the stuff of legend — fierce, fearless, and unapologetically real. Givens brings decades of seasoned stage craft to every performance, and her Atlanta shows consistently sell out. Seeing Adele Givens live in 2027 is not a routine night out. It is an event.
Together on the Trilith LIVE stage, Crawford and Givens represent the best of what Legends Of Laughter delivers: a comedy experience that honors the tradition while bringing the heat in real time. This is the kind of show people talk about for months afterward.
