Monster Jam in Atlanta: The Show, The Trucks, The Thunder

Monster Jam is the undisputed king of monster truck entertainment. What started as a novelty touring show has evolved into a globally recognized motorsports brand featuring elite athletes behind the wheel of 12,000-pound, custom-built machines that defy physics at every turn. The trucks reach heights of over 10 feet, run on 66-inch tires, and routinely launch 30-plus feet into the air off competition ramps. Atlanta fans know exactly what that means: controlled chaos at its absolute finest.

The roster of Monster Jam trucks includes iconic names that have built loyal followings across generations of fans — Grave Digger, Megalodon, El Toro Loco, Max-D, and more. These aren't just vehicles; they're characters, and the athletes who drive them are professional competitors who train year-round for moments of precision and glory. Monster Jam events combine Freestyle competition, two-wheel skills challenges, and head-to-head racing — so fans get multiple formats of action packed into a single, unforgettable night.

Atlanta has always been a passionate Monster Jam market. The crowds here are loud, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in their favorite trucks. The 2027 event at EchoPark Speedway gives Atlanta-area fans an outdoor motorsports setting that amplifies the experience beyond what any indoor arena can offer. The sightlines are wide, the sound is massive, and the track setup at EchoPark allows for longer racing runs and bigger air off the jumps.
