The Masquerade: Atlanta's Premier Concert Destination
The Masquerade is not just a venue — it is an Atlanta institution. Originally housed in a historic mill building in the Old Fourth Ward, The Masquerade relocated to its current home at 800 Spring Street NW in Downtown Atlanta, where it now operates as a multi-room live music complex within the broader development footprint near State Farm Arena. The venue houses three distinct performance spaces — Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory — each calibrated for a different scale of experience, giving Atlanta concertgoers an intimate-yet-powerful setting regardless of the show's size.
For a show like Speakeasy presents TWRP | The Action Sequence Tour at The Masquerade, the room's energy is part of the product. The Masquerade has built its reputation on alt-rock, synth, prog, and left-of-center acts that reward an audience willing to show up fully. The sound system is built for density — layered synths, punching bass lines, and theatrical production land exactly the way they should in this room.
The venue is accessible by MARTA, with the North Avenue and Civic Center stations both within reasonable walking distance. Street parking and nearby garages serve fans arriving by car. The surrounding Downtown Atlanta neighborhood gives concertgoers easy access to pre-show dining, bars, and the broader energy of the city on a weekend night.
TWRP and Jazz Emu Take the Stage
TWRP — Tupper Ware Remix Party — is a Canadian synth-funk band built around a fully realized fictional universe. The four members perform in character as intergalactic travelers, delivering high-energy sets rooted in tight musicianship, retro-futurist aesthetics, and an audience engagement style that transforms every show into a participatory event. Their sound draws from 80s funk, prog rock, and video game music, filtered through a live performance sensibility that is relentlessly precise and genuinely joyful. TWRP Atlanta shows are known for crowd interaction, costume-level commitment from both the band and their fanbase, and a setlist that rewards longtime listeners while pulling in newcomers immediately.
The Action Sequence Tour is the vehicle for TWRP's latest chapter, and it arrives in Atlanta at exactly the right venue. The Masquerade's atmosphere — dark, loud, loyal — mirrors the aesthetic world TWRP has built for over a decade of touring.
Opening the night is Jazz Emu, a performer who operates at the intersection of absurdist comedy, folk, and theatrical songwriting. Jazz Emu brings his own dedicated following and a performance style that complements TWRP's larger-than-life approach. The pairing makes this bill something genuinely worth showing up early for — both acts deliver from the first note.
